Dear customers, suppliers and stakeholders,

We are in unprecedented and challenging times and, like all businesses nationwide and across the world, we are adapting the way we work in response to COVID-19 virus. We take our responsibilities to our staff, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders extremely seriously and recognise that the rapidly evolving situation necessitates flexibility and adaptability. We also recognise that we are all currently getting to grips with the so-called ‘new reality’ to accommodate the enduring COVID-19 threat.

D W Plastics has remained operational all through the lockdown period to continue to supply our customers, some of which are key essential suppliers to the NHS and pharmaceutical sectors. We are committed to providing ongoing service and support to our customers and we look to continue working closely with our customers to minimise any potential disruption to continuity of supply. However, due to the impact that the crisis has had on our business we have taken measures to protect the long-term sustainability of the business whilst mitigating the impact on staff. These include home working and placing a significant number of staff on furlough.

The welfare of our workforce and the wider community is our priority, so from the outset we have been following Government advice and Public Health guidelines with respect to making the work place ‘COVID-19 secure’ to limit potential exposure to and mitigate the spread of the virus. As many of our staff as possible are working from home, but the vast majority of our colleagues are continuing to work in our production facilities during these challenging times. It goes without saying that we are doing everything to enhance the safety of these staff members and mitigate the risk of infection. We have therefore been reviewing safety measures continuously to ensure operations can carry on with the necessary safeguards. We are monitoring the situation on a daily basis and will implement any necessary changes based on the advice provided by the Government, Public Health agencies and industry bodies.

We are open for business and our team remains contactable during normal working hours via the usual channels. We will respond as soon as possible, but please bear with us should it take slightly longer than usual for us to respond. We appreciate your understanding.

We would like to express our thanks to our employees, and all the key workers across the country who are making such an enormous contribution in these uncertain times. We are extremely mindful of the impact that this global crisis is having on everyone, and would like to extend our very best wishes to you, your families and colleagues.
